Do you need a visa?

How this tool works

We read the official notice for each pair and record the date. Nothing here is generated; a pair with no written check is not shown.

How we check

Visa needed, on arrival or online. British passport holders can use Egypt's e-visa or visa on arrival.

British passport holders normally need a visa: an e-visa applied for at least 7 days before departure (US$30 single entry, US$65 multiple entries on the portal), or a visa on arrival at approved airports for US$30 in cash, valid up to 30 days. Arriving by air at Sharm El-Sheikh and staying under 15 days at resorts in Sharm El-Sheikh, Dahab, Nuweiba or Taba needs no visa: you get a free entry permission stamp. Cairo airport also sells a digital visa on arrival for US$36, which includes a US$6 service fee; sources differ on its start date and payment method.
