Do you need a visa?

How this tool works

We read the official notice for each pair and record the date. Nothing here is generated; a pair with no written check is not shown.

How we check

Visa required. Irish passport holders need a tourist visa for Egypt, usually available on arrival.

Irish citizens normally need a visa to enter Egypt; tourist visas for ordinary passports are usually available on arrival. For work or business, the page recommends obtaining a visa in advance. Irish citizens visiting only Sharm El Sheikh, Dahab, Nuweiba, and Taba resorts for up to 15 days can receive a free entry permission stamp on arrival; a visa is required for travel outside those areas or stays longer than 15 days.
