Def Leppard 2027 North American tour: dates and where to stay

Def Leppard and Goo Goo Dolls share the bill on a 45-date North American arena tour in 2027, with The Struts opening. It starts in Allentown on March 2 and ends in Indianapolis on July 2, with five stops in Canada. Every city gets one night, most shows are two days apart, and the only outdoor show is the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on May 1. Each stop has rooms near the venue and the trip on.

The Def Leppard 2027 North American tour guide

Choosing a city for the trip

The stops differ more as trips than as shows. Toronto, Montreal, Boston, Washington, Seattle and Vancouver are city breaks: the arena sits in a downtown with hotels, restaurants and transit close by, so you can arrive a day early and leave the morning after.

Hollywood Bowl is an open-air venue, so a show there is an evening outdoors rather than an indoor arena night. Desert Diamond Arena sits in Glendale, outside the city centre, so a trip there works best around a car or a shuttle rather than a city stay.

Stops to add to a longer trip

Montreal and Quebec City are the easiest pair to combine. The train between them takes a few hours in general terms, and Quebec City is a compact historic city that suits a second night.

Vancouver and Seattle are the other pair worth planning together. The Amtrak Cascades train runs between the two, so you can see both shows without flying. In the southeast, Atlanta, Savannah and Tampa are far enough apart that a drive between them needs a full day.

Getting to the Canadian arenas

The Bell Centre in Montreal is served by the orange line of the metro, with Lucien-L'Allier and Bonaventure stations close to the arena. In Toronto, Union Station on Line 1 is a short walk from Scotiabank Arena, so the subway is the simplest way in from most hotels.

In Vancouver, take the Expo or Millennium SkyTrain line to Stadium-Chinatown for Rogers Arena. In Edmonton, the Metro Line stops at Churchill station, close to Rogers Place. After the show, the platforms fill quickly, so allow extra time to reach the train, and check the last-train time on the line you need before the night.

Getting to the eastern and southern arenas

At TD Garden in Boston, North Station is directly beside the arena, served by the Orange Line and the commuter rail. In Newark, Penn Station is a short walk from the Prudential Center.

In Washington, Gallery Place-Chinatown station on the Red, Green and Yellow lines is next to Capital One Arena. In Atlanta, the GWCC/CNN Center MARTA station is the stop for State Farm Arena. In Cleveland, the RTA Red Line stops at Tower City, a short walk from Rocket Arena.

Getting to the western and central arenas

In San Francisco, the Muni T Third Street line stops at Chase Center. In Seattle, take the monorail from Westlake Center to Seattle Center for Climate Pledge Arena.

In Los Angeles, the Red Line stops at Hollywood/Highland, and the organizer publishes the shuttle and parking details for each Hollywood Bowl show. In St. Louis, Civic Center station on MetroLink is close to Enterprise Center. In Milwaukee, Fiserv Forum is within walking distance of the Intermodal station, the Amtrak stop.

Moving between shows

The usual way between Canadian stops is the intercity train, and for Montreal and Quebec City it is the simplest choice. Between US cities, Amtrak covers the Northeast corridor and the Pacific Northwest, and flying is the usual choice for longer jumps. A rental car suits the Texas and Oklahoma stops, where the arenas are spread out.

Leave at least one full day between shows that are far apart. A same-day switch leaves no margin for a delayed train or a missed flight.

Where to sleep

For a show night, stay in the downtown district near the arena if you want to walk back. Rooms in those districts cost more on show nights, so book early for the stops where the arena is the main reason for the trip.

Late-night rideshare pickups near the big arenas can be slow after a show, so a hotel within walking distance avoids the queue. Outside a central district, stay near the station on the line you plan to use, and check that the last train runs after the show ends.

Fan tips for stadium nights

  • Some city names are suburbs. Glendale is west of Phoenix, North Little Rock is across the Arkansas River from Little Rock, and Newark's Prudential Center is about 20 minutes by NJ Transit from New York Penn Station. Uncasville is the Mohegan Sun casino in Connecticut.
  • March in the north is still winter. Montreal, Quebec City, Minneapolis and Denver play in March, when snow can delay flights and close roads. Fly in the day before the show.
  • Bring a layer to the Hollywood Bowl. The Bowl sits in the Hollywood Hills, and early May evenings there turn cool after dark.
  • Bring a passport for the Canadian dates. Montreal, Toronto, Quebec City, Vancouver and Edmonton are in Canada. US citizens flying in need a passport.
