Do you need a visa?

How this tool works

We read the official notice for each pair and record the date. Nothing here is generated; a pair with no written check is not shown.

How we check

Visa needed, on arrival or online. German passport holders can use Egypt's e-visa or visa on arrival.

The German Foreign Office says German citizens need a visa and that travel documents must be valid for at least six months at entry. You can apply for an e-visa on the official portal (at least 7 days before departure; US$30 single entry, US$65 multiple entries), or buy a visa on arrival for US$30 at official bank counters before passport control. A Sinai stamp allows up to 15 days, only in Nuweiba, Taba, Sharm El-Sheikh and Dahab.
