Do you need a visa?

How this tool works

We read the official notice for each pair and record the date. Nothing here is generated; a pair with no written check is not shown.

How we check

Visa required. French passport holders need a paid tourist visa for Egypt, available before travel or on arrival.

The tourist visa is initially valid for 1 month and can be extended at the immigration office for travelers with a valid passport. Apply at an Egyptian consulate in France well before departure, or obtain the visa on arrival in Egypt. A single-entry visa costs 30 USD or the equivalent in euros; a multiple-entry visa costs 60 USD or the equivalent in euros. At airport visa counters, payment is in cash in foreign currency.
