Do you need a visa?

How this tool works

We read the official notice for each pair and record the date. Nothing here is generated; a pair with no written check is not shown.

How we check

Visa needed, on arrival or online. Canadian passport holders can use Egypt's e-visa or visa on arrival.

Canada's government says Canadian passport holders can get an electronic visa before travel or a 30-day tourist visa on arrival, paid in cash in US dollars. The Egypt e-Visa Portal lists Canada, asks you to apply at least 7 days before departure and charges US$30 for a single entry or US$65 for multiple entries; the visa on arrival costs US$30 at approved airports according to the UK, German and Spanish governments. Canada also lists a 14-day visa-free stamp, but only for entry at the Taba land crossing with a stay inside the Sinai Peninsula.
