Do you need a visa?

How this tool works

We read the official notice for each pair and record the date. Nothing here is generated; a pair with no written check is not shown.

How we check

Visa required. Portuguese passport holders need a visa to enter Iran.

Obtain an entry visa before travel from the Iranian Embassy in Lisbon or in the capital of the country where the trip begins. Tourist and business visas are normally valid for 1 month. The application requires a passport valid for more than 6 months, a flight ticket departing no later than 7 days after the visa validity starts, a completed form, supporting documents, and a color photo. The visa-on-arrival option for Portuguese tourists has been suspended since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic and remains unavailable.
