Do Spanish passport holders need a visa for Iran?

Covers 11 passports and 80 destinations. Rules older than 30 days are flagged for re-check.

Do you need a visa?

How this tool works

We read the official notice for each pair and record the date. Nothing here is generated; a pair with no written check is not shown.

How we check

Visa required. Spanish passport holders need a visa valid for their whole stay, applied for before the trip.

Iran stopped issuing visas on arrival at the start of the pandemic and has not officially announced a restart, so apply online with enough time before travel. Iran does not admit travelers whose passport carries an Israeli visa or stamp.
