Visa required. German passport holders need a visa, issued as an electronic visa that you carry as a printout.

You can apply for an online e-visa before travel, and the Foreign Office strongly advises against relying on a visa on arrival. Travel documents must be valid for at least six months at entry, and an Iranian or German accident and health insurance is needed for the stay.
