Do Australian passport holders need a visa for Iran?

Covers 11 passports and 80 destinations. Rules older than 30 days are flagged for re-check.

How this tool works

We read the official notice for each pair and record the date. Nothing here is generated; a pair with no written check is not shown.

Visa required. Australian passport holders must apply before they travel, and Smartraveller says Do not travel to Iran.

If you decide to travel despite the advice, apply through the Iranian Embassy in Australia. Check your insurance terms before you book, because policies may not cover you where the advice is Do not travel.
