How we checkVisa required. Spanish citizens travel to Russia on a Russian visa, now usually the e-visa.
Spain's foreign ministry says that since 1 August 2023 Russia issues unified electronic visas (e-visa) valid across its territory, and that you do not need to visit a Russian consulate to get one. It also describes getting a new visa from the Russian embassy or consulate in Spain, and warns that Russian authorities are very strict about visa expiry: an expired visa, even by a few hours, means you cannot leave. Your passport must be valid, have at least 2 adjacent pages free of stamps and visas, and stay valid for at least 6 months from the date you return from Russia.
