Do Australian passport holders need a visa for Russia?

Covers 11 passports and 80 destinations. Rules older than 30 days are flagged for re-check.

How this tool works

We read the official notice for each pair and record the date. Nothing here is generated; a pair with no written check is not shown.

Visa required. Australians need a visa to enter Russia unless on certain commercial cruise ships.

Smartraveller says you cannot get a visa on arrival, and arriving without a valid one can mean a fine, detention and deportation at your own expense. Fingerprints may be needed for the application, and the visa details must be checked before you fly because they cannot be amended once you are in Russia.
