Do you need a visa?

How this tool works

We read the official notice for each pair and record the date. Nothing here is generated; a pair with no written check is not shown.

How we check

ETA required. French passport holders need an ETA before traveling to Sri Lanka.

An ETA is required before arrival for tourist or business stays of up to 30 days. Since May 25, 2026, the fees for the ETA are free for French holders of ordinary, service, or diplomatic passports; apply exclusively through eta.gov.lk/slvisa. At arrival, travelers must have a passport valid for at least 6 months after entry, a return ticket, and proof of sufficient funds for their stay.
