Do you need a visa?

How this tool works

We read the official notice for each pair and record the date. Nothing here is generated; a pair with no written check is not shown.

How we check

No visa. Australian passport holders do not need a visa to visit Ireland as tourists.

The Irish Immigration Service lists Australia among the nationalities that do not need a visa. Smartraveller says you may be granted permission for up to 90 days on arrival, as determined by the immigration officer, and that at least one blank page in your passport is required. You need a visa, applied for before you leave Australia, for longer stays, work or study.
