Do you need a visa?

How this tool works

We read the official notice for each pair and record the date. Nothing here is generated; a pair with no written check is not shown.

How we check

eTA required to fly. British passport holders need an eTA to fly to or through Canada.

Visa-exempt visitors apply online for an eTA before flying to or transiting a Canadian airport. You do not need one to arrive by car, bus, train, boat or cruise ship. Most approvals come within minutes, but some take days if documents are requested, so apply before you book the flight.
