How we checkNo visa. Spanish passport holders visit Costa Rica visa-free for stays under 180 days.
The Spanish foreign ministry says Spanish citizens need no visa for stays under 180 days and that Costa Rican authorities require arrivals to hold a return ticket. The passport must be valid with enough blank space for the entry stamp, and the DNI is not valid for entry. Airlines normally include a 29 US dollar departure tax in the ticket price.
