Do British passport holders need a visa for Qatar?

Covers 11 passports and 80 destinations. Rules older than 30 days are flagged for re-check.

Do you need a visa?

How this tool works

We read the official notice for each pair and record the date. Nothing here is generated; a pair with no written check is not shown.

How we check

No visa in advance. British passport holders on a full British citizen passport get a tourist visa on arrival, with 30 days before an extension is needed.

Other types of British passport need a visa in advance. To stay longer than 30 days you must extend the visa waiver through Qatar's Ministry of Interior before it expires, and health insurance from a registered provider is mandatory beyond 30 days. The UK advice notes Iranian strikes in the region, so read it before booking.
