Do you need a visa?

How this tool works

We read the official notice for each pair and record the date. Nothing here is generated; a pair with no written check is not shown.

How we check

No visa. British passport holders visit Portugal visa-free for up to 90 days in any 180.

GOV.UK says British citizens can travel to the Schengen area, which includes Portugal, for up to 90 days in any 180-day period as tourists, to see family or friends, for business meetings, cultural or sports events or short studies. Visits to Schengen countries in the 180 days before you travel count toward your 90. At Portuguese border control you may need to show an onward or return ticket and proof you have enough money.
