Do British passport holders need a visa for Israel?

Covers 11 passports and 80 destinations. Rules older than 30 days are flagged for re-check.

Do you need a visa?

How this tool works

We read the official notice for each pair and record the date. Nothing here is generated; a pair with no written check is not shown.

How we check

ETA-IL required. British citizens do not need a visa for tourism but must get an ETA-IL before they travel.

The ETA-IL costs NIS 25, is valid for 2 years and covers a visit of up to 90 days. You will usually get an entry card rather than a stamp at Ben Gurion Airport, and FCDO advises against all travel to some areas, so read the UK advice before you book.
