Do French passport holders need a visa for Taiwan?

Covers 11 passports and 80 destinations. Rules older than 30 days are flagged for re-check.

Do you need a visa?

How this tool works

We read the official notice for each pair and record the date. Nothing here is generated; a pair with no written check is not shown.

How we check

Online arrival card required. French passport holders must complete Taiwan's TWAC before arrival.

French citizens do not need a visa for stays of less than 90 days. Non-Taiwanese travelers must complete the free TWAC online within 3 days before arrival; the system sends an email confirmation after submission. The passport must have more than 6 months of validity remaining on arrival, and travelers must show a return ticket or a ticket to a third country with a valid visa.
