Do you need a visa?

How this tool works

We read the official notice for each pair and record the date. Nothing here is generated; a pair with no written check is not shown.

How we check

No visa. French passport holders can enter Germany freely for a short tourist visit.

French nationals may enter with a valid passport or a new or old-format national identity card. A French passport that is expired by less than 5 years can also be used for travel between France and Germany.
