How the tickets are sold

UEFA sells general-public tickets for the final on UEFA.com/tickets and nowhere else. For the 2026 final in Budapest it ran a lottery: applicants could ask for up to two tickets, and winners were drawn after the window closed at 11:00 CET on 19 March 2026, ten weeks before the match. UEFA stated that the tickets would not be sold first come, first served.

The finalists take the largest share. For 2026, UEFA offered more than 40% of the stadium capacity to the two finalists' supporters in the most affordable categories, Fans First and Category 3, and the sale was coordinated directly with the clubs. If your club is in the final, its ticket office is the route, not the lottery. If it is not, the UEFA lottery is the official route to a neutral seat. Tickets are held in UEFA's Mobile Tickets app.

The 2027 final in Madrid

The final is on Saturday 5 June 2027 at the Estadio Metropolitano, home of Atlético de Madrid since 2017. UEFA's Executive Committee chose the stadium on 11 September 2025 at its meeting in Tirana, and UEFA's competition guide lists the date as subject to change. No kick-off time has been published. The stadium last hosted a final in 2019, when Liverpool beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-0, and the 2027 final will be the sixth in Madrid.

The host changes every year. Budapest hosted 2026, UEFA has confirmed Munich for 2028 and Camp Nou in Barcelona for 2029, and this page is updated for each host.

UEFA also ran a fan festival in the host city of the 2026 final. In Budapest, the Champions Festival ran from Thursday 28 to Sunday 31 May 2026 at Heroes' Square, free to enter, with the trophy for photos, live music, and the final on giant screens on Andrássy Avenue from 3pm. It was cashless, with a bag limit of A4. UEFA has not published a Madrid festival yet.

Getting to the Estadio Metropolitano

Atlético de Madrid recommends the Metro, and the stop is Estadio Metropolitano on Line 7, beside the stadium. Las Musas, one stop earlier on the same line, is a longer walk. Line 7 runs from Pitis in the north-west to Hospital del Henares in the east, and it meets Lines 4, 6 and 9 at Avenida de América.

Visitors from outside the Schengen area go through the Entry/Exit System at the border: see EES, explained.

Where to sleep

Decide whether you want the city or the stadium. Central Madrid, around Sol and the Gran Via, is where most visitors spend their days, and Madrid covers it. Avenida de América is on Line 7, eleven stops from the stadium. San Blas is two stops before the stadium. If you have a spare day, Segovia works as a day trip from Madrid.
