    Mall of the Emirates
    Shopping

    Mall of the Emirates

Plan a visit to Mall of the Emirates in Dubai for more than 630 brands, over 100 places to eat and a chance to watch Ski Dubai’s indoor slopes.

Mall of the Emirates is a large shopping and entertainment centre on Sheikh Zayed Road in Al Barsha, Dubai. Its standout attraction is Ski Dubai, where you can see indoor slopes and snow activities in the middle of the desert. Inside, more than 630 brands range from luxury fashion to everyday shops, alongside over 100 restaurants and cafés. Magic Planet and VOX Cinemas add options for families and moviegoers. Come to shop, eat, watch the slopes or spend a few hours indoors; the scale makes it easy to combine several stops in one visit.

    Shopping across the mall

Mall of the Emirates opened in 2005 and was designed by American firm F+A Architects. Its stores cover fashion, sports, electronics, home furnishings and everyday shopping, so a visit can range from browsing designer labels to picking up essentials. The Fashion Dome and Luxury Wing bring together international luxury brands, while department stores and high-street shops add a wider range of options.

The mall’s large layout can make it useful to plan a few stops rather than trying to cover everything at once. If you want to shop and then spend time at an attraction or restaurant, the Hands Free service can store your bags. The service can also arrange delivery of purchases elsewhere in the mall or to your home.

Ski Dubai and the indoor snow park

Ski Dubai is the mall’s most distinctive attraction: an indoor ski resort with five slopes across an area of 22,500 square metres. The indoor mountain is 85 metres high. The slopes include beginner runs and one intermediate pitch, so the terrain is not aimed only at experienced skiers.

At the base of the slopes, the 3,000-square-metre Snow Park has snow activities and rides. You can also watch people ski or snowboard through the viewing area without taking part. This makes the slope an option even if you are not planning to buy an activity ticket.

    Food, films and family entertainment

The mall has more than 100 restaurants and cafés, with choices ranging from quick meals to sit-down dining. Carrefour is another practical stop: one account describes buying seafood there and using the provided tables and chairs to eat, as a lower-cost alternative to a restaurant meal.

For a family visit, Magic Planet is an indoor play and arcade centre. VOX Cinemas provides another way to spend time in the mall beyond shopping. With these attractions, dining and the ski resort in one complex, you can shape a visit around a single activity or combine several stops.
