    Cayan Tower
    Sight

    Cayan Tower

See Cayan Tower in Dubai Marina, a residential skyscraper that twists 90 degrees. Walk beside it on Marina Walk and admire its waterfront setting.

Cayan Tower is a residential skyscraper on Dubai Marina’s waterfront, known for its 90-degree spiral. Each floor turns 1.2 degrees around the building’s central lift and service core, creating a shape that stands out along the skyline. The apartments look out over the marina and sea, and the building has a pool and gym on the sixth floor. Marina Walk is close by, making the tower easy to admire from the waterfront. It is a private residence, so plan to see it from outside unless you are staying there.

How the tower gets its spiral

Cayan Tower was previously called Infinity Tower. Its defining shape comes from rotating each floor 1.2 degrees in relation to the one below, producing a 90-degree turn from the base to the top. The floors follow the same plan, but their changing orientation creates the tower’s helical outline.

The lift and service core runs through the centre of the building. The tower was designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the architecture firm also responsible for the design of the Burj Khalifa. Its curved profile is easy to pick out among the high-rises along Dubai Marina.

A residential building, not a public attraction

Cayan Tower is primarily a residential skyscraper, with apartments rather than a public sightseeing route. The views of the marina and sea are from the residences; access to the building’s interior depends on staying there. Do not plan on entering to see an observation deck. Marina Walk gives you a way to look at the tower from the waterfront without needing building access.

The tower’s unusual form is its main point of interest from outside. Look up from the walkway to follow how the building’s edges shift as it rises. The spiral is the result of the gradual rotation of its floors, rather than a separate structure attached to the façade.

    Facilities for residents

The building has a swimming pool and fitness centre on the sixth floor. Access arrangements can depend on the accommodation, so check with your host whether your card grants entry to these facilities. Some stays also require an access card to obtain towels at the pool or gym.

The tower is in Dubai Marina, near Marina Walk, where cafes and restaurants are within reach. For a visit focused on the architecture, the outdoor walk is the straightforward option. If you are booking an apartment in the building, clarify check-in and facility access before arrival.
