World Trade Center Abu Dhabi (WTC)

Plan a visit to World Trade Center Abu Dhabi for Souk Central Market, Arabic-inspired design, rooftop gardens, international shops and dining.

World Trade Center Abu Dhabi is a mixed-use complex on Liwa Street in the city centre, with a shopping mall, Souk Central Market, towers and places to eat. Its design pairs modern forms with traditional Arabic latticework. Browse the souk for local crafts, perfumes and souvenirs, then explore the mall’s international shops and food court. Terraces and rooftop gardens offer a quieter pause between errands or shopping, while Lulu Hypermarket makes the complex useful for everyday supplies as well as a city-centre visit.

The complex brings retail, business and residential spaces together in central Abu Dhabi. The mall is linked to two towers, including Burj Mohammed bin Rashid, a 92-storey residential tower, and the 60-storey Trust Tower, used for offices. The residential tower reaches 382 metres, making it the tallest building in Abu Dhabi.

The site was formerly the Central Market. Its present-day souk carries that market connection into a modern setting, with local crafts, perfumes, jewellery and souvenirs among the goods to browse. The mall adds international brands, restaurants and cafés, so you can combine a look around the market with shopping or a meal.

Lulu Hypermarket is a useful stop for groceries and other daily essentials. The mall also has a food court, a cinema and a range of dining options, from casual meals to restaurants. A very tall indoor slide is another feature inside the mall, particularly suited to a family visit.

For a break from the shops, head to the terraces and landscaped rooftop gardens. Together they cover more than 3,000 square metres. The complex also has arcade games and a children’s playground. It is easy to navigate, with lifts throughout, and accessible entrances, lifts, seating and restrooms.
