Do US passport holders need a visa for Palau?

Covers 11 passports and 80 destinations. Rules older than 30 days are flagged for re-check.

Do you need a visa?

How this tool works

We read the official notice for each pair and record the date. Nothing here is generated; a pair with no written check is not shown.

How we check

No visa. US passport holders do not need a visa for Palau; the tourism authority says a one-year visa is issued on arrival.

Palau's immigration page says US citizens visiting Palau do not need a visa, and the Palau Visitors Authority says US passport holders are issued a 1 year visa on arrival. You still need the online entry form within 72 hours of landing, a passport valid at least 6 months and proof of return arrangements. travel.state.gov could not be read, so this row relies on Palau's own pages.
