Do US passport holders need a visa for Lithuania?
Covers 11 passports and 80 destinations. Rules older than 30 days are flagged for re-check.
How this tool works
We read the official notice for each pair and record the date. Nothing here is generated; a pair with no written check is not shown.
How we checkNo visa. US passport holders visit Lithuania visa-free for under 90 days.
The US State Department's page says no visa is required for stays of less than 90 days, and that your passport must be valid at entry with 3 months' validity beyond your date of departure. Lithuania is in the Schengen area, so the days are shared with every other Schengen country. At your first crossing you register in the EES with a face scan and fingerprints instead of a passport stamp. The currency limit is 10,000 euros or equivalent. Poland has temporary controls on its land border with Lithuania until 30 March 2027, so carry your passport on routes toward Poland.
