Visa on arrival. US passport holders buy a 30-day visa on arrival or e-VOA online.

The visa on arrival costs IDR 500,000, lasts 30 days and can be extended once for 30 more. Buy it online in advance as an e-VOA or at the main airports. All arrivals also fill in the free All Indonesia form within 72 hours before landing, and Bali charges a separate IDR 150,000 tourist levy. The US State Department's page (Last Updated July 9, 2026) asks for a passport with 6 months' validity beyond your arrival date and 2 blank pages for entry.
