Do British passport holders need a visa for New Caledonia?

Covers 11 passports and 80 destinations. Rules older than 30 days are flagged for re-check.

Do you need a visa?

How this tool works

We read the official notice for each pair and record the date. Nothing here is generated; a pair with no written check is not shown.

How we check

No visa. British passport holders visit New Caledonia visa-free for up to 90 days for tourism or business.

New Caledonia is a French territory but sets its own entry rules, so the Schengen 90/180 count does not apply. GOV.UK asks for a passport valid at least 3 months after you leave and with at least 2 blank pages. New Caledonia Tourism says travel insurance covering medical expenses and emergency evacuation is mandatory for entry for most nationalities, so carry the policy details.
