Do you need a visa?

How this tool works

We read the official notice for each pair and record the date. Nothing here is generated; a pair with no written check is not shown.

How we check

No visa. Irish passport holders do not need a visa to visit the United Kingdom.

Irish citizens do not require a visa to enter the UK. Irish citizens, including dual citizens, do not need an ETA when travelling to or transiting through the UK from outside the Common Travel Area. When travelling from outside the Common Travel Area, present a valid Irish passport to the carrier or border control to demonstrate the ETA exemption.
