Do you need a visa?

How this tool works

We read the official notice for each pair and record the date. Nothing here is generated; a pair with no written check is not shown.

How we check

ETA required. German passport holders need a UK ETA, and a passport (an ID card is not accepted).

An electronic travel authorisation (ETA) lets you travel to the UK, Jersey, Guernsey or the Isle of Man for up to 6 months, so one ETA covers all four. Each traveler needs one, including babies and children. Apply on GOV.UK or the UK ETA app; you will usually get a decision by email within a day, but it can take up to 3 working days.
