Do you need a visa?

How this tool works

We read the official notice for each pair and record the date. Nothing here is generated; a pair with no written check is not shown.

How we check

No visa. French passport holders can enter Switzerland with a valid passport for a short visit.

French citizens may enter with a valid passport or one expired less than 5 years ago. For a stay of more than 3 months, they must contact the cantonal migration office where they plan to settle before entering Switzerland to request a residence permit.
