Do you need a visa?

How this tool works

We read the official notice for each pair and record the date. Nothing here is generated; a pair with no written check is not shown.

How we check

No visa. French passport holders can enter Austria freely with a valid passport.

French nationals may enter Austria with a valid passport or national identity card. Anyone staying more than 3 days in one place must register with the municipal authorities; for tourists, hotels or guesthouses handle this. Stays longer than 3 months require an additional registration certificate.
