Do you need a visa?

How this tool works

We read the official notice for each pair and record the date. Nothing here is generated; a pair with no written check is not shown.

How we check

No visa. Canadian passport holders visit Slovakia visa-free for up to 90 days in any 180.

Slovakia is in the Schengen area, so the 90 days are shared with every other Schengen country. When you enter the Schengen area, EES collects trip information, your facial image and fingerprints. You don’t need to take any action before you travel. ETIAS applications are not yet open. Austria has notified temporary controls on its land and river borders with Slovakia until 15 March 2027, so carry your passport on trips to and from Vienna.
