Do you need a visa?

How this tool works

We read the official notice for each pair and record the date. Nothing here is generated; a pair with no written check is not shown.

How we check

No visa. Austrian passport holders do not need a visa to visit Italy.

Austrian citizens may enter with an identity card or passport. The identity card must be valid for the entire stay. A passport may be expired for up to 5 years, but the page strongly recommends using a valid passport; airlines, ferries, hotels, and campsites often do not accept expired passports.
