The Kingdom Centre skyscraper against a warm orange sky in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Kingdom Centre

Kingdom Centre in Riyadh: the Sky Bridge on the 99th floor, a luxury mall, food court and cinema. See how to find the entrance and when to go.

Kingdom Centre is a 99-floor tower on King Fahd Road in Al Olaya, Riyadh, with a shopping mall at its base and the Sky Bridge at the top. The bridge on the 99th floor looks over the whole city, and the elevator ride up is fast. Below, the mall has international fashion and jewellery brands, a food court, restaurants, cafes and a cinema. The tower rises about 302 meters and is one of the most recognizable points on the Riyadh skyline.

Kingdom Centre

Kingdom Centre stands in Al Olaya on King Fahd Road. It has 99 floors and rises about 302 meters. It opened in 2002 and covers more than 100,000 square meters. The architect was Ellerbe Becket.

The building holds several uses at once: the Al Mamlaka shopping mall, the Four Seasons Hotel, offices and luxury residential apartments. Its curved outline and reflective glass walls are easy to pick out from across the city. The glass is there to help with the heat.

The Sky Bridge is the main reason most people come. It is a walkway at the top of the tower, and from it you look across Riyadh's skyline, modern districts and the open desert beyond.

The elevator ride up is fast and smooth. Late afternoon is a good time to go, because you can watch the city in daylight and then see it switch to lights after dark.

The entrance is inside the mall, not at street level, and it is not signposted as clearly as you might expect. One visitor found it by going to the first floor and turning into a narrow corridor beside the Montblanc shop, where a desk sells entry and sends you to the elevators. Parts of the mall are being renovated and rebuilt, so that route may have changed. Ask at an information point if you cannot find it.

Inside the mall

The mall is spacious and modern, with a mix of international and luxury brands. Fashion, beauty, jewellery and accessories are the main categories, with names such as Prada, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Burberry, Cartier, Armani, Dior and Tiffany & Co. Saks Fifth Avenue and Harvey Nichols are also listed among the stores.

For a break from shopping there are restaurants, cafes and a food court. A cinema, a playground and arcade games make it workable for families. The central elevators have been given a new decorative look as part of the upgrades.

Some sections were under renovation at the time of recent visits, so the mall can feel smaller than usual while work continues.

Getting there and getting around

A train station is a short walk around the corner. If you drive, the mall has a parking garage and lot, with both free and paid options, plus valet parking.

The entrance, restrooms and parking are wheelchair accessible, and wheelchair access runs through the mall and to the major stores. Restrooms include changing tables. Cards and NFC mobile payments are accepted.

Opening times are posted on the page. The mall opens later on Fridays, at midday, and stays open until late the other days.
