Which day to pick
The Automobile Club de Monaco (ACM) runs the 2027 Grand Prix from Thursday 3 to Sunday 6 June. Formula 1 is on track from Friday 4 June, and this is Monaco's first sprint weekend, so Friday and Saturday each have a Formula 1 qualifying session. The ACM programme lists the sessions in order and gives no start times; it says the schedule can change.
Thursday 3 June is support-series practice: Formula 3, the Porsche Supercup and Formula 2. Children aged 6 to 15 get a free ticket for the day.
On Friday there are Formula 3 and Formula 2 qualifying, Formula 1 free practice 1, Supercup qualifying and sprint qualifying. Saturday has Formula 3 race 1, the Formula 1 sprint race, Formula 1 qualifying (Q1, Q2 and Q3) and Formula 2 race 1. Sunday has Formula 3 race 2, Formula 2 race 2 and the Supercup race, then the drivers' parade, the honor lap with the Prince and Princess of Monaco, the national anthem and the Grand Prix itself: 78 laps, or 120 minutes at most.
Sunday is the only day with the Grand Prix. Saturday is the day with two Formula 1 sessions, the sprint and qualifying, which makes it the one to buy if you want the most Formula 1 on a single ticket.
Tickets and their rules
The ACM is the official seller, at monaco-grandprix.com, at its ticket office at 44 rue Grimaldi (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm) and at selling points around the circuit during the event. The tickets are for grandstand seats, some with individual seats and some with benches, and for standing zones. Prices are listed per grandstand and per day on the 2027 Prices page of monaco-grandprix.com.
Two packs exist: Saturday and Sunday, and Friday to Sunday. Each gives 10% off the daily rate in any grandstand, but not in the standing zones, and an order is limited to 20 seats. On 15 October 2026 the official page listed both packs as sold out and told buyers to purchase single days with the Buy tickets button.
The rules that catch people out:
The buyer's name is printed on the ticket, and tickets are not transferable or for resale. The ACM accepts no liability for tickets bought from other platforms.
Tickets may not be returned, exchanged or refunded, and the ACM sells no cancellation insurance. Online buyers have a 14-day withdrawal right, which does not apply to purchases made 14 days or less before the opening day.
E-tickets are a QR code in your online account. Show it on a charged phone or print it on A4; without one you are refused at the gate. Paper tickets come by courier or can be collected at 44 rue Grimaldi.
Children aged 0 to 5 need no ticket on an adult's lap. Ages 6 to 15 pay 50% of the full rate for Friday to Sunday; that rate does not cover Gold seats or standing areas. Under-16s need an adult with a ticket for the same zone and written parental permission.
No ticket, Gold included, gives access to a pit walk.
Where to watch
The circuit has lettered grandstands and two standing zones, which the ACM names Z and the Rocher. These are the places worth deciding between.
Grandstand K, Tabac
Grandstand K runs from the Tabac corner towards the Piscine chicane, and the ACM puts K1 and K2 opposite Tabac. The Gold seats sit on the highest rows of K1, K2, K3 and K6, and of grandstand L.
Grandstand B, Casino
The Monaco Tribune's 2026 viewing guide calls grandstand B the postcard view of the Casino and the Hôtel de Paris, and says it has a giant screen.
Grandstand A, Sainte-Dévote
Grandstand A1 is on the inside of the Sainte-Dévote corner, at the end of the start straight. Formula 1's listing notes that the cars are funneled into this tight corner on the first lap.
The Rocher and Zone Z
The two standing zones are excluded from the 10% pack discount and from the children's rate. The Monaco Tribune's 2026 guide describes the Rocher as a hillside above the harbor with a wide view of the circuit, and Zone Z (written Z1 in that guide) as lying between the Nouvelle Chicane and Tabac, with partial views and bars nearby.
The terms of sale list glass bottles, cans, pets, bags and luggage, and bulky items such as pushchairs, bikes, helmets and tripods among the things that are not allowed. There are no lockers or left-luggage facilities, so leave bags at your hotel.
Getting there
The train is the plan. Monaco is 30 minutes from Nice and Ventimiglia and 11 minutes from Menton, with trains from Nice and Ventimiglia about every 15 minutes. A ZOU! ticket is valid for one journey on any train that day, so a return bought in advance does not tie you to a departure time. The station exits are near the public grandstand access points. Formula 1's ticket page recommends public transport because of the road closures during race weekend.
Bus line 600 runs Menton, Monaco and Nice every 15 to 20 minutes, and line 601 runs the same route at night. Line 80 LER runs from Nice Airport to Menton via Monaco for €20.50.
If you drive, the ACM lists these car parks:
Salines (1,500 spaces) and Saint Antoine (280 spaces) charge a €10 flat rate for entries between 6am and 6pm on event days, 3 to 6 June 2027.
Downtown car parks charge a flat €35 on 4 to 6 June.
Salines bookings open six months ahead at resa.parkings.mc. A free shuttle runs from Avenue Albert II in Fontvieille, about five minutes from Salines, to the circuit. On foot or by lift, the Fan Zone and Place d'Armes are 16 minutes from Salines.
An overnight train runs from Paris to Nice, and TGV INOUI trains reach Monaco from several French and international cities.
Where to sleep
Staying outside Monaco keeps the train close. Menton is 11 minutes away, Nice 30, and Ventimiglia in Italy 30; bus line 601 runs at night between Menton, Monaco and Nice. The Monaco, Nice and Menton guides cover the towns themselves.
