Do you need a visa?

How this tool works

We read the official notice for each pair and record the date. Nothing here is generated; a pair with no written check is not shown.

How we check

No visa. US passport holders can stay in Panama as tourists for up to 180 days.

Panama's embassy in Washington lists the United States among the visa-free countries and says Resolution 22706 lets US and Canadian citizens stay up to 180 days as tourists. Its entry requirements add a passport with at least three months of validity, proof of funds of at least US$500 and a return or onward ticket. The US State Department's Panama page (Last Updated August 13, 2026) says the return or onward ticket requirement is strictly enforced, and to confirm you receive an entry stamp on arrival.
