How this tool works
We read the official notice for each pair and record the date. Nothing here is generated; a pair with no written check is not shown.
How we checkETA required. German passport holders need a UK ETA, and a passport (an ID card is not accepted) to Northern Ireland.
Northern Ireland is part of the UK, so the UK electronic travel authorisation (ETA) applies. An electronic travel authorisation (ETA) lets you travel to the UK, Jersey, Guernsey or the Isle of Man for up to 6 months, so one ETA covers all four. Each traveler needs one, including babies and children. Apply on GOV.UK or the UK ETA app; you will usually get a decision by email within a day, but it can take up to 3 working days. GOV.UK says you do not need an ETA if you live in Ireland and travel from Ireland, Guernsey, Jersey or the Isle of Man, so visitors who live elsewhere still need one when they cross the border from Ireland.
