Do Canadian passport holders need a visa for Puerto Rico?

Covers 11 passports and 80 destinations. Rules older than 30 days are flagged for re-check.

Do you need a visa?

How this tool works

We read the official notice for each pair and record the date. Nothing here is generated; a pair with no written check is not shown.

How we check

No visa and no ESTA. Canadian citizens visit Puerto Rico with a passport.

Puerto Rico is part of the United States, so the US rules for Canadian citizens apply: most visitors need no visitor visa and Canada is not in the Visa Waiver Program, so there is no ESTA. Canadian permanent residents who are not citizens may need a visa. A CBP officer decides admission on arrival.
