Rättvik is a town on the eastern shore of Lake Siljan in Dalarna County, central Sweden, and the seat of Rättvik Municipality. It had 4,686 inhabitants at the end of 2010. Visitors have come since the late 1800s, and the town is known internationally for its folk music.
The lake is the main draw. Långbryggan, a 628-metre pier built in 1895 and reopened in 1992 after renovation, runs out to a small artificial island. Vidablick, a 28-metre wooden tower on Hedsåsberget, opened in 1898 and is open in summer, with views over the lake. The church stands on a headland by the water, surrounded by old church stables. The town also holds events such as Rättviks marknad, Musik vid Siljan and Classic Car Week. A stay of a few days covers the lake, the pier and the tower, and an event if it falls within your dates.
