Luna Park

Luna Park in Tel Aviv: rides for toddlers and thrill-seekers, the Anaconda coaster, and a Ferris wheel view of the city. Tickets, timing and food tips.

Luna Park is an amusement park in Tel Aviv, set in the Exhibition Gardens beside Park HaYarkon and the Exhibition Center. Its grounds cover about 12 acres of lawns, palm and eucalyptus trees, and paved paths. The park has rides for small children and for thrill-seekers, from a carousel and spinning teacups to the Anaconda roller coaster, its best-known ride. The Ferris wheel gives a view over the city and is most striking after dark. Snack bars, a restaurant and a bar are on site.

Where Luna Park sits

Luna Park
Luna Park

Luna Park was built in 1970 within the Tel Aviv Fairgrounds, on the edge of Park HaYarkon. The Exhibition Center is close by, so the park is easy to combine with a walk through the surrounding green space.

The grounds cover about 12 acres of wide lawns, palm and eucalyptus trees, and paved routes. The paths are accessible, so strollers and wheelchairs can move between the rides.

Rides for every age

Younger visitors have a toddler gym, a ball pit, electric cars, a small roller coaster called the Miniconda and a ghost train. Carousels and spinning teacups make up the classic line-up, alongside dodgem cars and a rifle range.

Older visitors head for the Anaconda, the park's signature roller coaster, and a Black Mamba coaster. A centrifugal rotator gives a stronger rush for those who want one.

The Ferris wheel and night views

The Ferris wheel is one of the slower rides in the park. From the top, the view takes in Tel Aviv, and the views are more striking after dark, when the city lights are on.

The wheel suits anyone who wants a calm ride rather than a fast one, and it makes a good end to an evening at the park.

Food, drink and facilities

Snack bars sell meals, snacks and drinks. A restaurant and a bar are also on site. The park has cool water stations and restrooms, including a gender-neutral restroom.

The entrance, restrooms and parking lot are wheelchair accessible. A playground is available for smaller children.

Planning the visit

Tickets can be bought in advance, and the park recommends doing so. Queues are common at peak times, so arriving early on a busy day helps.

Check the park's website for current prices and opening days. Superland, a larger park in Rishon LeZion, has more space and a pirate ship if you want more attractions after Luna Park.
