How tickets reach fans

The NFL controls every Super Bowl ticket and does not sell to the public. CBS Sports described the split for Super Bowl LIX in 2025: 17.5% of the tickets to each finalist, 5% to the host team, 1.2% to each of the other 29 teams, and 25.2% to the league office. About 10,000 of the league office's seats went to On Location, the NFL's official hospitality provider. Each finalist had to set aside at least 35% of its allotment for fans. The league sets the split each year, so read these figures as the pattern, not the 2027 numbers.

Fans reach those seats two ways. Teams sell them at face value, usually to season-ticket holders or lottery winners; CBS Sports gave a face-value range of $950 to $7,500 for the 2025 game. Or you buy a package from On Location, which sells the league's hospitality and ticket packages, with hotel options for Super Bowl LXI. NFL.com names On Location as the source of official Super Bowl LXI ticket packages, and a fully refundable Priority Access deposit program for them opened in December 2025. Every other seat is resale.

The two finalists are not known until the AFC and NFC championship games, which in 2026 were played two weeks before the Super Bowl. If you hold season tickets for a club that reaches the final, ask the club about its lottery as soon as those games end.

The 2027 game and Super Bowl week

Super Bowl LXI is on Sunday 14 February 2027 at SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, California. SoFi's announcement lists the kick-off time as to be announced. It is the second Super Bowl at SoFi, after Super Bowl LVI in 2022, which the Los Angeles Rams won at home, and the ninth in Los Angeles County. The Los Angeles Super Bowl Host Committee, led by the Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission, is the local host.

Super Bowl week includes NFL Honors, the Super Bowl Experience, Super Bowl Opening Night and a community program across the Los Angeles region. The announcement gives no dates or venues for them, so book flights for the game weekend first and the week events later.

Getting to SoFi Stadium

Metro's K Line stops at Downtown Inglewood station, and Metro bus Line 212 serves stops on Prairie Avenue next to the stadium. For the 2023 Taylor Swift concerts, Metro ran free shuttles from the C Line at Hawthorne/Lennox and from the K Line. They started at 3:30pm on show days, the last one left 90 minutes after the show, and the last trains left downtown's 7th/Metro Center at about 2am. That is Metro's precedent for a big night at SoFi. Where to sleep

The choice is between staying near the stadium and staying in the city and riding Metro. Inglewood puts you on the K Line. Downtown Los Angeles and Santa Monica are both on the E Line, which meets the K Line at Expo/Crenshaw; Metro's 2023 concert plan had riders cross the street to change trains there. Los Angeles covers the rest of the city, and San Diego or Los Angeles helps if you are still choosing a base.
