Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary is a nature reserve in the Ezulwini Valley of Eswatini, a small kingdom in southern Africa that shares borders with South Africa and Mozambique. It lies close to Mbabane, the capital, which makes it one of the simplest wildlife stops to reach from the main towns.
Visitors mostly come for the animals. Zebra, giraffe, white rhino, hippos and several antelope species live in the reserve, and walking trails let you cover part of the ground on foot. The terrain is mainly open grassland and wooded hills, with birdlife as a bonus. The visit suits a short stay of one or two days, either as a stop on a trip through Eswatini or as a quiet base. The dry season, roughly May to September, is the easier time to see animals, since the grass is shorter and animals gather near water.
