Do you need a visa?

How this tool works

We read the official notice for each pair and record the date. Nothing here is generated; a pair with no written check is not shown.

How we check

ESTA required. French passport holders need an ESTA to visit the United States under the Visa Waiver Program.

Holders of an electronic or biometric passport may travel under the Visa Waiver Program for transit or tourism or business for up to 90 days. Apply for an ESTA online before departure; the US Department of Homeland Security recommends applying at least 72 hours in advance. Travel by private aircraft or boat requires a visa. The ESTA does not guarantee admission; an immigration officer decides on entry.
