Do German passport holders need a visa for Montenegro?
Covers 11 passports and 80 destinations. Rules older than 30 days are flagged for re-check.
How this tool works
We read the official notice for each pair and record the date. Nothing here is generated; a pair with no written check is not shown.
How we checkNo visa. German passport holders can enter Montenegro without a visa for up to 90 days.
The Auswärtiges Amt says Germans need no visa for stays up to 90 days; a longer stay needs a residence permit applied for in the country. The passport is accepted, and the Personalausweis is accepted for stays up to 30 days or transit, while the provisional ID card is not. All documents should still be valid for three months on entry, and foreigners must register with the police within 24 hours (a hotel does it for you).
