Do you need a visa?

How this tool works

We read the official notice for each pair and record the date. Nothing here is generated; a pair with no written check is not shown.

How we check

No visa for 30 days. US passport holders can visit Thailand visa-free for tourism.

From 15 September 2026 the visa-free stay is 30 days (it was 60), for tourism only, and it can be used twice in a calendar year. Everyone fills in the free Thailand Digital Arrival Card online 3 days in advance of arrival. The US State Department's page (Last Updated August 20, 2026) was written before the 15 September change and still says 60 days; it asks for a passport valid at least six months beyond arrival, and says officers may ask for an onward or return ticket and proof of funds, and may deny entry to travelers who enter more than 2 times per year.
