Halekiʻi and Pihana are ceremonial structures within Halekiʻi-Pihana Heiau State Monument in Wailuku. A heiau is an ancient structure built for ceremonial purposes. Wailuku was once an important place for aliʻi, the nobility class, and the heiau were built at the request of kings.

The site is also known by names translated as “house of images” and “gathering place of high supernatural beings.” The remains are modest: stone foundations and a platform mark the historic structures.
