L'Escape Hotel is a boutique stay on Toegye-ro in Seoul, near Myeongdong. Its interiors draw on Belle Époque Paris, with deep colours, patterned fabrics, antique-style furniture and gold-framed art. Rooms have plush beds, coffee machines and private bathrooms, some with freestanding baths. You can have Cantonese breakfast at the hotel restaurant, unwind at the bar or use the fitness centre and spa. If noise or cleanliness is a concern, check your room on arrival and contact housekeeping promptly.
Belle Époque-inspired interiors
Jacques Garcia designed the hotel with the Belle Époque period as a reference. Rich colours, patterned fabrics and symmetrical arrangements shape the look, while antique-style furniture takes inspiration from French châteaux. Maroon and red tones, floral drapery and gold-framed paintings give the rooms and public areas a distinct Parisian character.
The hotel also has a signature fragrance created by parfumier Alienor Massenet. If you are sensitive to scents, be aware that it may feel strong in some areas.
Rooms, breakfast and facilities
Rooms combine the decorative style with modern amenities, including flat-screen TVs, fridges, coffee machines and private bathrooms with bidets. Some rooms have freestanding baths, and plush beds and pillows are among the room details noted by guests.
The on-site restaurant serves Cantonese breakfast, and the hotel has a bar with happy hour from 5 to 8 pm. Other facilities include a fitness centre, spa, room service and free Wi-Fi. Check your room on arrival and contact housekeeping if you find a cleanliness issue.
