The park and its design

Pavlovskiy Park
Pavlovskiy Park

Pavlovskiy Park covers more than 600 hectares. Its layout dates to 1780 and was designed by Charles Cameron, who planned the grounds and the first landscape compositions along the Slavyanka River. The park’s classical buildings include the Apollo Colonnade and the Temple of Friendship.

The grounds combine managed gardens with areas of trees that feel more like woodland. In summer, flowers and green spaces bring colour to walks, and some areas are suitable for sitting on the grass. Winter brings snow and ice to the paths and trees.
